Royal Karoo Meets Canadian Wounded Warriors
Royal Karoo is supporting the Calgary Alberta Chapter of Safari Club International in their quest to support the Canadian Wounded Warrior program by getting soldiers with disabilities involved and interested in hunting. Hunting is a healthy lifestyle that enhances the quality of life and broadens the interests of the participants and, as such, Royal Karoo donated an African hunt to Safari Club International who, in turn, nominated Mark and Dani Fuchko to travel to the Eastern Cape in South Africa for their trip of a lifetime.
Mark and Dani arrived in July for their plains game hunt and had a very successful time hunting at the Royal Karoo. Mark lost both legs in an IED attack on his armoured vehicle while on active duty in Afghanistan. He coped extremely well with his prosthetic legs and enjoyed the experience with the very capable professional hunter who had him crawling and stalking for every trophy!
